Both JEDEC-sponsored events will feature a wide range of flash-related topics with major market impact. Attendees will learn about the latest advancements, market trends and industry proposals on:

  • Mobile Storage Applications
  • Solid State Drives
  • Flash Memory System Designs: Managing Signal Integrity
  • Flash Cards
  • Next Generation Technologies such as Universal Flash Storage

“Flash memory presents a critical focus for today’s design engineers and their technical staff in consumer electronics and IT provisioning, one extremely well suited as the focus of a JEDEC summit,” said Mian Quddus, Chairman of JEDEC’s Board of Directors. “Flash is tremendously popular with a rapidly growing range of technologies and mobile applications that need to be carefully explored on a global industry basis,” he added.

Added John Kelly, JEDEC President, “Building on the success of recent JEDEC flash events, we are delighted to partner with the Taiwan Semiconductor Industry Association and the Korea Semiconductor Standards Association to offer industry engineers and designers these opportunities for expanded professional development.”

Flash memory is widely used for high density, low power non-volatile data storage in the mobile and PC markets; offering low cost, high performance, and reliable storage solutions for devices ranging from smartphones to portable GPS units and digital cameras.
